Position Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a prestigious law firm to find an experienced Public Entity Defense Litigation Attorney. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated legal professional looking to make a significant impact in public entity defense litigation. The position is based in California and offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent public entities in complex litigation matters, including trials, motions, and hearings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice and strategy.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Engage in discovery, including taking and defending depositions, and preparing interrogatories and requests for production.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive legal representation.
• Maintain a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and precedents in public entity defense.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, and provide guidance on risk management strategies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar is required.
• Proven experience in public entity defense litigation or similar legal practice.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, during standard first shift hours.

Benefits

Competitive pay ranging from $45.00 to $75.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
